Activity description

Take to the skies over the Ile d'Oléron in a microlight and discover the superb Charente-Maritime countryside from the air!

Taking off from Courçon airfield, this gyrocopter flight over the Ile d'Oléron awaits you for a unique microlight experience near La Rochelle. For 1 hour 45 minutes, you will fly over the coast as far as the Ile d'Oléron, passing by the Ile d'Aix, Fort Boyard and the Fort Vauban at Fouras: with a 270° view, you will be able to enjoy the most beautiful panoramas of the region!

A kind of small helicopter, the gyrocopter, also known as an autogyro, offers a unique flying experience. With an experienced pilot at your side, you will be able to admire the scenery below you while listening to the pilot's commentary on the region. From historic sites to natural landscapes, you will come away from your gyrocopter flight over the Ile d'Oléron with stars in your eyes!

Course of events

- Meeting with the pilot at Courçon airfield

- Presentation of the microlight and briefing on the course of the flight and safety instructions

- Take off for a 1 hour and 45-minute gyrocopter flight over the Ile d'Oléron and Fouras

- Landing, debriefing with the pilot and end of the activity

Maximum height: 198 cm / Maximum weight: 209 lbs (95 kg)

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the activity.

Please note that the exact duration and itinerary of the activity are weather-dependent.

Once your booking has been confirmed, please contact the instructor to plan the meet-up time for your activity.

One person at a time in the microlight (in addition to the pilot): if you have booked for 2 people and if it is possible, you will fly at the same time, each in a different microlight.

If you wish, a photo and video option (on USB key and personal YouTube link) can be booked on site for €30 per person.
